I love bundt cake tin designs and I still get excited to see the reveal of each design when it comes out of the cake tin. This bundt cake recipe is one of my favourite and just a simple dusting of icing sugar is all it needs.
Ingredients : Marble Bundt Cake
5 large eggs (about 350 grams eggs)
380 grams self-raising flour
300 grams caster sugar
200 grams softened butter
150 grams vegetable oil
20 grams cocoa powder
Method : Marble bundt cake
Prepare a bundt tin by using non-stick spray or like I do by melting some butter and then brushing the butter into the bundt pan and sprinkle some flour into the bundt pan.
Pre-heat the oven to 180 Celsius
Whisk the butter, sugar and oil together until light in colour
Add the eggs one at a time and whisk well before adding in the next egg.
Put the flour into the egg mixture and fold in the mixture until smooth.
Divide the mixture between two bowls, add cocoa powder to one of the bowls and mix it in.
Put the mixture into the cake tin alternating between the colours. When it is all mixed in get a toothpick and swirl the mixture.
Bake in the oven for about 40-45 minutes until firm to the touch, test with a cake tester. If it comes out clean it is ready.
Remove from the oven, put it on a cooling rack and leave it in the tin for about 10 minutes. Get another cooling rack and place it on top.
Flip the cake over and then remove the cooling rack and remove the cake tin. Leave to cool completely.
When it is completely cool put it on a serving plate and dust with some icing sugar and serve.
