In this video tutorial I show you the all in one method step by step. The all in one method is a method used in cake making.
If using butter make sure it is soft so that it can mix well into the rest of the ingredients. If it is cold it will be lumpy and very difficult to mix in.
In a recipe that needs butter make sure is is softened butter.
Softened butter (Leaving it at room temperature in a warm room for a few hours is enough to soften it.). If you need to bake but forgot to soften the butter you can soften it in a microwave, a few second bursts at a time.
Add all the cake ingredients into a large enough bowl to hold all your ingredients.
Mix or whisk until smooth, do not over mix otherwise the cakes will be rubbery in texture. As soon as the batter is soft, stop mixing. If the cake batter is too thick you can add about a tablespoon of milk to loosen it and mix.
Now you can carry on with the rest of the recipe and bake.
