In this video tutorial I show you how to bake this easy focaccia recipe. It is quick and simple to make and quite fluffy and delicious. When working with yeast you have to remember that how long it takes to rise depends on the weather, if it is cold it will take longer than when it is warm.
Ingredients for easy focaccia recipe
250 grams strong white bread flour
175 ml cold or warm water
1 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons Italian herb mix or other herbs of your choice
1 teaspoon salt
3.5 grams yeast (half a packet of a 7 gram packet)

Method for easy focaccia recipe
Put the flour, yeast, herbs, salt and flour in a bowl
Then add in the olive oil, and the water, mix
When too thick to mix with the wooden spoon, knead it in the bowl with your hands
Cover the bowl with clingfilm. Leave it to rise until double in size (time will vary depending on the weather. it takes longer when cold)
Prepare a baking tray with some baking paper
Put the dough on it and roll or stretch it onto the baking paper, until about 28cm x 23 cm
Cover with oiled clingfilm and leave for about an hour until puffed up (how long it takes to puff up will depend on the temperature)
Press your fingers into the dough, push all the way until you touch the cookie tray
Sprinkle some salt on top and add one tablespoon of the olive oil
Put the tray in the oven and switch it on to 200 Celsius
Bake for about 35- 40 minutes until golden brown on top
Drizzle with more olive oil when it comes out and serve.
