In this video tutorial I show you how to make chantilly cream, creme chantilly or whipped cream frosting. This is basically sweetened whipped double cream with vanilla extract. This chantilly cream recipe is very quick and simple to make and tastes great. The best thing is to not over-whip it otherwise it will split.
It can be used to fill profiteroles. Decorate cakes like Black Forest Gateaux and to decorate some pies like banoffee pies and many other desserts.
- 900 ml double cream or whipping cream
- 2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 55 grams caster sugar
- In your mixing bowl place the double cream or whipping cream, vanilla extract, and sugar and whisk until it is thick enough to pipe or spread on your dessert.
