Yorkshire pudding : Yorkshire pudding recipe for 4

by Sep 17, 20160 comments

Until The Great British Bake Off Series 7 2016 batter week I had never made Yorkshire pudding.  I have seen them before but never baked them. Since the Yorkshire puddings were part of the challenges, I had to bake them. These were not the Great British Bake Off technical challenge but I just could not get excited enough to make the technical challenge which was lace pancakes.  In this video I will be showing you how to make  traditional Yorkshire puddings, recipe can serve 4.

Yorkshire puddings are an English food made from batter consisting of eggs, flour, and milk or water. They are often served with beef and gravy as part of the traditional British Sunday roast. They are quick and simple to make. The amount of eggs used make them puff up when baked.

Do not open the oven door while they bake because they will not rise or they will flop and you will have to start again.

Makes 12

  • Add in half of your milk and whisk and then add in the rest of the milk and whisk
