I have been asked a few times how to whip double cream with a whisk so I have recorded a simple video showing you how. It does take a bit of time but definitely worth it. You can use an electric whisk if you prefer but do not over beat it because it can very easily turn into butter.
Whipped double cream can be used for a variety of toppings or fillings. It can be used to top desserts like banoffee pie of to fill profiteroles or eclairs
You will need the following :
- double cream
- icing sugar (optional)
- vanilla extract (optional)
- Pour the double cream into a large bowl
- Add the sugar and vanilla extract and start whipping until it is nice and thick
- That’s it!
