In this video tutorial I show you how to get seeds to stick on sourdough bread. This method can be used to stick seed on any bread dough so that they do not fall off while baking. The seeds are put on the bread dough before baking.
Method for making seeds stick on top of bread and buns
Brush off any excess flour on top of the bread.
Wet the top of your bread with some water. You can use a spray bottle or a pastry brush.
If using a pastry brush put some water in a bowl and brush the top with the pastry brush.
Put the seeds on top of the bread.
I used sesame seeds but you can use other seeds including poppy seeds and sunflower seeds.
This method can also be used to put oats on top of bread.
