{"id":948,"date":"2015-09-19T17:19:33","date_gmt":"2015-09-19T17:19:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress-1235014-4411782.cloudwaysapps.com\/?p=948"},"modified":"2015-10-27T09:44:59","modified_gmt":"2015-10-27T09:44:59","slug":"cream-cakes-recipe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/meadowbrownbakery.com\/?p=948","title":{"rendered":"Cream Cakes Recipe"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Cream Cakes recipe<\/h2>\n<p>I came across a very interesting cream cakes recipe on timetocookonline blog of some cakes that used double cream instead of butter and I just had to try them out.<\/p>\n<p>The cakes looked a bit too small so I decided to double the recipe so that I could bake muffins. \u00a0The recipe is very simple to make. \u00a0Double cream has a high fat content and if you shake double cream in a closed jar it turns to butter so the double cream substitute makes a lot of sense.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>300g caster sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>250ml double \u00a0cream<\/li>\n<li>300g self raising flour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Preheat the oven to 180\u00b0C.<\/li>\n<li>Butter and flour your muffin trays. I bake 16 muffins in total.<\/li>\n<li>Crack the eggs into a bowl and add the sugar. Beat with a balloon whisk (or by hand or stand mixer) until the eggs are frothy and the sugar dissolved \u2013 about 5 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Add the cream and whisk.<\/li>\n<li>Add the flour and mix.<\/li>\n<li>Spoon the mixture into your muffin trays and bake.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown on top and a cake tester comes out clean.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from the tray and allow to cool completely.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Serve and Enjoy<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cream Cakes recipe I came across a very interesting cream cakes recipe on timetocookonline blog of some cakes that used double cream instead of butter and I just had to try them out.
