In this video I show you two ways to melt chocolate. How to melt chocolate in the microwave and how to melt chocolate without a microwave. These two methods are the same way you use to melt any colour chocolate and it is the same way to melt chocolate chips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Break your chocolate into pieces or pour chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Put the chocolate in the microwave for about 20 seconds at a time, it’s the safest way to do this so that you do not burn the chocolate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
White chocolate melts quicker, I put mine in the microwave for 60 seconds total. After putting it in the microwave for the final 20 seconds I do not put it back in the microwave even though it is not completely melted.
I use the heat from the bowl to mix the chocolate until it is completely melted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Break some chocolate into a heatproof bowl<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Put some water in a pot and put the pot on a hot plate and bring the water to a simmer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Put the bowl of chocolate on top of the pot, it has to sit on the pot not inside it. So make sure the bowl is bigger than the circumference of the pot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Make sure that the water does not come in contact with the bowl of chocolate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stir the chocolate until it has melted<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Melted chocolate can be used for dipping fruit, drizzling over bakes or simple decorating for biscuits or cookies. Great for dipping marshmallows too.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
