A Madeleine is a traditional small cake from north east France. They are shaped like scallops. I always thought that they looked really pretty but it was not until I saw the tray in a shop that I decided to buy it and try them out.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients (Makes 24)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The tray I bought can bake 12 in one go, because they are so small and delicious they do not last long so I quickly went to buy another Madeleine tray so that I do not have to wash the tray and then bake some more when baking for a larger number of people.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>130 grams self raising flour<\/li>\n<li>100 grams caster sugar<\/li>\n<li>120 grams vegetable oil<\/li>\n<li>2 medium eggs<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons milk<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon vanilla extract<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preheat oven to 190\u00b0C<\/li>\n<li>Butter and flour 2 Madeleine trays.<\/li>\n<li>Mix all the ingredients into a bowl until smooth<\/li>\n<li>Divide the mixture between the trays<\/li>\n<li>Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely<\/li>\n<li>Serve and Enjoy!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[thrive_leads id=&#8217;2439&#8242;]<\/p>\n<p>You can also make <a href=\"https:\/\/meadowbrown-trh1.wp1.site\/lemon-poppy-seed-madeleines\/\">Lemon Poppy Seed Madeleines<\/a> as an alternative<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/product\/B002XTQDNO\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1634&amp;creative=6738&amp;creativeASIN=B002XTQDNO&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=httpwwwmeadow-21\">You can buy the tray here<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In this video\u00a0I am going to show you how to bake vanilla French Madeleines.
