This easy fondant icing recipe for beginners is quick and simple to make and tastes great. It can be flavoured and coloured easily too.<\/p>\n<p>Fondant icing is also known as plastic icing and sugarpaste or sugar paste.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>450 grams icing sugar<\/li>\n<li>3 tablespoons liquid glucose<\/li>\n<li>1 egg white<\/li>\n<li>few drops of any flavouring of your choice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Place the icing sugar in a bowl<\/li>\n<li>Add the glucose syrup and egg white to the icing sugar<\/li>\n<li>Flavouring can also be added at this stage<\/li>\n<li>Mix with a fork until it is too thick to mix<\/li>\n<li>Put the fork to one side and gently knead it in the bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Put a bit of icing sugar on your work surface and knead it until smooth.<\/li>\n<li>You can now use the icing to <a href=\"https:\/\/meadowbrown-trh1.wp1.site\/covering-a-round-cake-board-with-fondant-for-beginners\/\">cover cake boards<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/meadowbrown-trh1.wp1.site\/covering-a-round-cake-board-with-fondant-for-beginners\/\">cover cakes<\/a> or make<a href=\"https:\/\/meadowbrown-trh1.wp1.site\/how-to-make-simple-fondant-decorations\/\"> fondant decorations<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In this video tutorial I show you how to make fondant from scratch.
