{"id":282,"date":"2014-03-02T23:33:31","date_gmt":"2014-03-02T23:33:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mybakeoff.com\/?p=282"},"modified":"2023-07-04T18:32:15","modified_gmt":"2023-07-04T18:32:15","slug":"oat-biscuits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/meadowbrownbakery.com\/?p=282","title":{"rendered":"Oat biscuits"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Oat biscuits<\/h2>\n<p>These oat biscuits are quick and simple to make and great with a hot drink.<\/p>\n<p>I came up with this recipe one day when I wanted to bake some biscuits but all I had was 80 grams of flour so I decided to add the only oats I had in the cupboard to it to bake a decent amount and they turned out great.<\/p>\n<p>Since that day I have baked these a few times and they never disappoint.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100 grams butter<\/li>\n<li>50 grams caster sugar<\/li>\n<li>80 grams plain flour<\/li>\n<li>70 grams oats porridge<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon vanilla extract<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preheat oven to 160 Celsius<\/li>\n<li>Cream butter and sugar together<\/li>\n<li>Add oats, flour and vanilla extract and mix<\/li>\n<li>Make into a ball and roll out dough to about 5 mm thick<\/li>\n<li>Cut into rounds with a cookie cutter which is about 6cm in diameter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/meadowbrown-trh1.wp1.site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/IMG_6368.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-434\" alt=\"Oat biscuits\" src=\"https:\/\/meadowbrown-trh1.wp1.site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/IMG_6368-300x224.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/meadowbrownbakery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/IMG_6368-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/meadowbrownbakery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/IMG_6368-600x448.jpg 600w, https:\/\/meadowbrownbakery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/IMG_6368-1024x764.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bake the oat biscuits for about 10 minutes until slightly brown around the edges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/meadowbrown-trh1.wp1.site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/IMG_6374.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-437\" alt=\"Oat biscuits\" src=\"https:\/\/meadowbrown-trh1.wp1.site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/IMG_6374-300x224.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/meadowbrownbakery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/IMG_6374-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/meadowbrownbakery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/IMG_6374-600x448.jpg 600w, https:\/\/meadowbrownbakery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/IMG_6374-1024x764.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Oat biscuits These oat biscuits are quick and simple to make and great with a hot drink.
