The sour cream and oil in this moist chocolate cupcake recipe makes them moist.\u00a0 If you don&#8217;t have sour cream plain yoghurt will do.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100g caster sugar<\/li>\n<li>110g light muscovado sugar<\/li>\n<li>50g \u00a0cocoa powder<\/li>\n<li>140g plain flour<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon baking powder<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 teaspoon salt<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon coffee powder or granules (if using granules dissolve them in the water)<\/li>\n<li>120 ml warm water<\/li>\n<li>60ml\u00a0cup vegetable oil<\/li>\n<li>120ml\u00a0sour cream<\/li>\n<li>1 large egg<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoons vanilla extract or a teaspoon of vanilla paste or seeds from a vanilla pod<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Method<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Preheat oven to 180\u00b0Celsius<\/li>\n<li>Prepare a 12 hole cupcake tray by putting cupcake cases in it.<\/li>\n<li>Put all your wet ingredients in a large bowl and whisk until smooth<\/li>\n<li>Add your dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and whisk until smooth<\/li>\n<li>Divide the cupcake batter between the 12 cupcake cases (You might make a bit more depending how much you fill the cases but try to fill about half way to two-thirds of the way)<\/li>\n<li>Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, test with a toothpick, if it comes out clean it is ready<\/li>\n<li>Remove the moist chocolate cupcakes from the oven and leave them in the tray for about 10 minutes and then remove from the cooling rack to cool completely.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When the moist chocolate cupcakes have cooled make the chocolate fudge icing which you will use to decorate the cupcakes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Icing Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 tablespoons cocoa powder<\/li>\n<li>50g butter<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons golden syrup<\/li>\n<li>300g icing sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon hot water<\/li>\n<li>pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkles (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Icing Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Melt the butter and golden syrup together with 1 tbsp water and add the vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>Sift in the cocoa powder and salt<\/li>\n<li>Beat in the icing sugar, to make a smooth icing.<\/li>\n<li>Add a little extra boiling water if needed.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/meadowbrown-trh1.wp1.site\/how-to-decorate-red-velvet-cupcakes-with-cream-cheese-frosting\/\">Spread icing over the cool cupcakes with a spoon <\/a> , you can watch a tutorial by clicking the link, and sprinkle on some sprinkles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Enjoy!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In this video I show you how to make this easy moist chocolate cupcake recipe.
