They make a great base recipe for many other types of cupcakes.<\/p>\n<p>I will share with you my favourites throughout this blog and some of the ways I have decorated them .\u00a0 You can decorate them as elaborately or as simple as you want depending on the occasion.\u00a0 Sometimes, a dusting of icing sugar is all they need. In this recipe I will show you this vanilla cupcake recipe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vanilla cupcakes recipe<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>113 grams (1\/2 cup) vegetable oil<\/li>\n<li>133 grams (2\/3 cup) white caster sugar<\/li>\n<li>3 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>200 grams (1 1\/2 cups) plain flour<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 teaspoons baking powder<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 teaspoon salt<\/li>\n<li>60 ml sour cream or plain yoghurt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preheat oven to 175\u00b0Celsius (350\u00b0Fahrenheit)<\/li>\n<li>Line your cupcake tray with paper cupcake liners<\/li>\n<li>Whisk all your wet ingredients, apart from sour cream, together in one bowl .<\/li>\n<li>Add all the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and whisk until smooth<\/li>\n<li>Finally stir in the yoghurt<\/li>\n<li>Divide the mixture as equally as you can between the 12 cupcake cases<\/li>\n<li>Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until slightly golden brown on top (test with a cake tester and if it comes out clean they are ready)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/meadowbrown-trh1.wp1.site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/IMG_6878.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-200\" src=\"https:\/\/meadowbrown-trh1.wp1.site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/IMG_6878-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"Vanilla Cupcakes Recipe\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/meadowbrownbakery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/IMG_6878-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/meadowbrownbakery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/IMG_6878-600x448.jpg 600w, https:\/\/meadowbrownbakery.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/IMG_6878-1024x764.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>There are so many way to decorate these little cakes so I will dedicate a few pages to the types of icing you can use and decorations you can make .<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"The best vanilla butter cream icing\" href=\"https:\/\/meadowbrown-trh1.wp1.site\/the-best-vanilla-butter-cream-icing\/\">Click here for the best butter icing ever<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Cream cheese icing\" href=\"https:\/\/meadowbrown-trh1.wp1.site\/cream-cheese-icing\/\">Click here for the best cream cheese icing<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Click here for tips on how to decorate with fondant icing<\/p>\n<p>Click here for beautiful edible decorations you can make<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vanilla Cupcake Recipe Vanilla cupcakes are like a\u00a0 blank canvas.\u00a0 There are so many options you can use to decorate them, let your imagination run wild.
