This method can be used on cakes, cupcakes and biscuits.   This is a simple and very effective decorating technique.  You can use glace icing, chocolate or Royal icing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is best to work with icing while it is still wet.  The icing can be coloured any colour you like<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What will you need to feather icing?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/meadowbrown-trh1.wp1.site\/simple-water-icing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Glace icing recipe <\/a> make it thicker so that it does not drip down the sides of the cake<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/meadowbrown-trh1.wp1.site\/how-to-make-royal-icing-using-egg-white-powder\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Royal icing recipe<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will need a cake, you can try out this <a href=\"https:\/\/meadowbrown-trh1.wp1.site\/coconut-and-lemon-cake\/\">coconut and lemon cake<\/a> or any the cake recipes on here and\/or some <a href=\"https:\/\/meadowbrown-trh1.wp1.site\/sugar-cookies-cut-out-cookie-recipe-cut-out-sugar-cookie-recipe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sugar cookies<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A piping bag<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gel colours to colour the icing. <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3sR7Aic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/amzn.to\/3sR7Aic <\/a>(affilioate)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method to feather icing<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Spread the main colour on your bake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pipe the other colour on top in lines across the main colour<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Use a toothpick to run down one side of the cake.
