Leave the milk out to make it dairy free and vegan.  I have made this chocolate with no eggs before the egg shortages and it is one of my favourites.  Eggs, flour and other supplies have been difficult to find at this time of Covid-19 lockdown or quarantine.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients for chocolate cake without eggs<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>200 grams plain flour<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>200 grams sugar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> 25 grams cocoa powder<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> 75 ml vegetable oil<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>120 ml water<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>120 ml milk (if you do not like milk or cannot find it you can use all water)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>  1 teaspoon baking powder<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> half teaspoon bicarbonate of soda<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 tablespoon lemon juice or vinegar <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method : Chocolate cake without eggs<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Start of by pre-heating your oven to 175 Celsius<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prepare a 20 cm\/ 8 inch square cake tin and put to one side<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Put all your dry ingredients in a bowl, whisk together and put to one side<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If sugar is lumpy just break any lumps with your hands <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make a well in the centre and add in the rest of the ingredients and whisk the mixture together until smooth<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour the mixture into the prepared cake tin <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes until firm and springy to the touch<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Test with a toothpick, if it comes out clean it is ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can half this  <a href=\"https:\/\/meadowbrown-trh1.wp1.site\/chocolate-fudge-icing-chocolate-icing\/\">chocolate fudge icing <\/a>which you can use to decorate your cake (optional)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spread on top of the cake and add some sprinkles<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enjoy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a great sponge cake without eggs for when you do not find eggs or do not like eggs.
