It was lovely to see all different variations of the madeira cake. In this video I show you how to bake an Easy Madeira loaf cake recipe Madeira cakes are also known as pound cakes and are quite straightforward and simple to make.<\/p>\n<p>This Madeira loaf cake recipe is quick and simple to make so it is a nice recipe to have on hand for when you want something quick.<\/p>\n<p>I have another 6 inch madeira cake recipe <a href=\"https:\/\/meadowbrown-trh1.wp1.site\/deep-6-inch-cake-recipe\/\">here<\/a> Feel free to try out both madeira cake recipes and let me know which one you prefer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>150g caster sugar<\/li>\n<li>150g unsalted butter<\/li>\n<li>4 medium eggs or 3 large ones<\/li>\n<li>200g self-raising flour<\/li>\n<li>pinch of salt<\/li>\n<li>zest of 2 lemons<\/li>\n<li>3 tablespoons lemon juice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preheat the oven to 180C.<\/li>\n<li>Grease a 900g loaf tin with butter and\u00a0flour.<\/li>\n<li>Cream the butter and sugar together.<\/li>\n<li>Add the lemon juice and zest and mix.<\/li>\n<li>Add the eggs one at a time and mix well after each addition.<\/li>\n<li>Add the flour and salt and mix.<\/li>\n<li>Spoon the mixture into the prepared tin.<\/li>\n<li>Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes, depending on your oven.
